Overview
Desperation is a solo project I do in my free time as I love to make games.
I do everything from the art assets, design, music and gameplay.
Doing everything has been a great eye opening experience to get the larger picture of what it takes to make a game, and I love it!
I do content posting updates on my social media you can find above. I post little deb updates Monday, Wednesday and Friday on TikTok and Youtube Shorts. I also post random updates on Twitter and BlueSky
Desperation is a CRPG with some Rogue like and Extraction game elements. Desperation is meant to give the player a unique experience in a 5 act campaign going through the process of can quiring their Desperation and returning good to the land.
What is Desperation?
Quests
Quests are an important part of Desperation. Ranging from small tasks to large narrative experiences, Desperation will feature a wide variety of quests with different levels of complexity and gameplay elements.
To support this, I’ve created a dialogue system that allows players to speak with NPCs and choose dialogue options to steer events in their favor.

Combat
Combat is a turn-based, free-space system. As the player roams the world, they will encounter enemies and need to engage in combat. The player must manage resources such as food and water, as well as action points, in order to complete an expedition and safely get out.

The World
Desperation takes place in a rich world filled with lore and diverse creatures. The player learns about the world through their adventures by acquiring items such as tomes or books and by completing quests that expand their knowledge.
